The Associate Manager, Product Growth is responsible for driving strategy, positioning, launch, and lifecycle management for products and learning solutions in the Higher Education market. This role translates market, faculty, student, and institutional needs into product propositions, working closely with Editorial, Sales, Marketing, Technology, Customer Success, and Global Product teams. The goal is products that build adoption, revenue, engagement, and long-term customer value, with a clear growth path toward product management.
What will you be doing?
Product Lifecycle & Adoption
- Create plans for product launch, adoption, renewal, and lifecycle management.
- Monitor adoption across institutions, faculty, courses, and students, and plan interventions for low-adoption products.
Revenue & Commercial Management
- Own product-level revenue and margin targets, annual business plans, and revenue forecasts.
- Partner with Sales and Finance on pricing, discounting, commercial models, and profitability.
Identify opportunities for:
- Institutional contracts
- Digital subscriptions
- Bundling
- Custom publishing
- Licensing
- Institutional solutions
- E-commerce
- Cross-sell and upsell
Internal Positioning & Messaging
- Define product value propositions and differentiators, and build positioning frameworks and competitor statements.
List Management & Product Data Governance
- Maintain the master list of active products, including ISBN/SKU, edition, pricing, and status data.
Sales Enablement & Planning
- Equip Sales and KAM teams with battlecards, pitch decks, messaging toolkits, and product training sessions.
- Keep CRM data clean and support sales reporting, dashboards, forecasting, and territory planning.
We are looking for someone with:
Product Management Expertise
- Experience across the product lifecycle, from launch through renewal.
Sales Enablement
- Experience building sales tools, training, and messaging materials.
CRM, Marketing Automation & Technology
- Comfort using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, marketing automation such as Marketo or HubSpot, GA4, and advanced Excel.
Data & Analytics Expertise
- Ability to interpret adoption, revenue, and engagement data to guide product decisions.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Strong ability to work across Editorial, Sales, Marketing, Technology, Customer Success, and Global Product teams.
Strategic & Commercial Thinking
- A commercial mindset with the ability to connect product decisions to revenue and margin outcomes.
Education / Domain Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline; an MBA or PGDM in marketing or product management is preferred.
- Experience in Higher Education or publishing is preferred.
