About the Role:
Wiley Science Solutions is seeking an Associate Product Manager to support the development of online products, APIs, and scientific software platforms. This role will work closely with product managers, engineering, content, marketing, sales, and customer-facing teams to help gather requirements, maintain product backlogs, support releases, and document customer needs. The role is suited to an early-career candidate who is organized, analytical, curious, and interested in building a career in product management at the intersection of science, software, and data. This position will report to a Product Manager or Senior Product Manager within Wiley Science Solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
Support the definition and documentation of product requirements and user stories.
Assist with backlog management, sprint planning, and release coordination.
Gather and summarize customer feedback, enhancement requests, and product issues.
Participate in customer interviews and market research activities to better understand scientific workflows and customer needs.
Help track product adoption, customer engagement, and usage metrics.
Maintain product documentation, release notes, and knowledge resources.
Collaborate with engineering, content, QA, marketing, sales, and customer success teams.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, computer science, information systems, business, or a related field.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Interest in scientific software, data products, APIs, SaaS platforms, or technology-enabled research solutions.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, collaborative, cross-functional environment.
Ability to learn technical and scientific concepts and communicate them clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
Academic background or coursework in chemistry, life sciences, materials science, data science, informatics, or related scientific fields.
Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
Exposure to APIs, web applications, SaaS products, or digital platforms.
Experience in laboratory, research, scientific software, or technical customer-facing environments.
Basic understanding of product analytics or usage reporting.

The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles in the United Kingdom, Canada, USA, Austria, Czechia, Denmark, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, or Spain. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
