The opportunity
The Associate User Experience Researcher supports the user experience team by providing valuable insights from real user feedback. You will focus on helping the product and design teams create user-friendly products based on actual user needs rather than assumptions. Key responsibilities include planning and conducting user experience research, and assisting other researchers on the team. You will contribute to the development of research plans, implementing research tasks, analyzing and synthesizing data, and communicating findings.
This is a remote friendly position (#LI-Remote). You will report to the Director of UX Research and Design Team.
What you'll do:
- You will execute foundational UX research activities: Develop well-crafted research plans with clear research objectives, write research screeners and guides, moderate user sessions, develop and implement quantitative surveys, conduct stakeholder and client interviews, identify insights by analysis of quantitative and qualitative data from research.
- You will design, build, and execute concept tests, A/B tests, focus groups, tree tests, card sorts, and usability studies.
- You will collaborate remotely with other UX researchers, product managers, and product analysts.
- You will collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data. Translate insights into actionable recommendations, providing a continuous pipeline of data for product teams to improve the customer experience.
- You will manage several research projects simultaneously by coordinating scope, timeline, and stakeholders in detailed project plans and other project documents.
- You will present research findings in a clear and organized fashion.
- You will participate in a mentorship program
- You will keep abreast of competitor products, industry trends, and customer experience (CX) trends (both inside and outside of the higher education industry) to understand trends in consumer expectations and opportunities for additional research.
- You will ensure compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
- Attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential functions of this role
- You may have other responsibilities as assigned
What we're looking for:
- 1 year of experience in UX research, research operations, or related fields such as UI or UX Design
- Bachelor's degree in human computer interaction, User Research, UX/UI, cognitive science, psychology, sociology, or other related social science with strong research focus
- Experience with and knowledge of multiple UX methodologies such as tree test, card sorts, usability studies, and surveys
- Experience conducting ethical research
- Experience conducting end-to-end research studies
- Familiarity with product development lifecycle and/or Agile framework or scrum
- Portfolio showcasing relevant academic, personal, or professional projects that highlight research experience in web or mobile platforms

Compensation
The annual pay range for this position is $64,283.00 - $102,872.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $71,033.00 - $96,103.00.
