Old Dominion University is hiring an Athletic Academic Advisor who will coordinate academic advising for student-athletes in designated sports and monitor their progress towards degree completion and eligibility compliance with NCAA, Conference, and ODU regulations. The advisor ensures student-athletes meet academic requirements and maintains communication among student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and faculty.

Required strong communication skills to interact with student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and faculty/staff.
Must possess strong computer skills including proficiency with Word applications.
Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree with advanced experience in counseling, education, or higher education.
Experience advising students in academic settings and working in an athletic administrative unit required.
Preferred experience with Banner software.
Position is full-time in the Athletics department.
