Job Summary 
Leads Cleveland State University’s (CSU) enrollment brand strategist and marketing efforts, , developing and executing I integrated campaigns that support enrollment growth, student recruitment, and institutional visibility. . Oversees brand management, media strategy, enrollment communications, marketing technology, analytics, and external partnerships while collaborating with university leadership and academic units to advance strategic priorities. Provides leadership to a high-performing team focused on innovation, service, and results. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications  | Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, higher education administration, business, or a related field. Eight (8) years of progressive experience in planning, management, and administration of education marketing and communications initiatives, of which five (5) of the eight (8) years of experience are in a supervisory role. Experience directing prospective student marketing and communications campaigns across digital, email, print, and other channels. Valid driver’s license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under CSU Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.

Preferred Qualifications  | Master’s degree, preferably in higher education administration, business, marketing, or a related field. Experience recruiting students in Northeast Ohio and the broader Great Lakes region, with an understanding of regional demographic trends and college-going patterns. Experience leading or contributing to international student recruitment strategy, including partnership development with overseas agents or pathway programs. Experience with public, urban university serving various, first-generation, and non-traditional student populations. Advance experience applying data analytics and predictive modeling to improve enrollment outcomes and develop strategic recruitment plans. Experience building or scaling unified communications platforms within a CRM environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) 
Comprehensive knowledge of enrollment marketing and higher education branding strategies, including lead generation, audience segmentation, funnel engagement, and multichannel communication planning. Ability to analyze marketing, enrollment, and audience engagement data to identify trends, evaluate campaign performance, and develop data-informed strategies that support enrollment growth and brand awareness. Working knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, digital marketing analytics, enrollment communication systems, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software used to support recruitment and enrollment operations. Ability to develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, social media, and paid advertising channels while maintaining institutional brand consistency and messaging alignment. Skilled in collaborating with academic colleges, enrollment leadership, and campus stakeholders to develop strategic marketing initiatives that support program growth, recruitment, and student engagement objectives. Ability to inspire, develop, and manage a high-performing marketing and communications team within a collaborative, customer service-oriented, and results-driven environment. Skilled at managing multiple projects, priorities, vendor relationships, and external partnerships while ensuring timely execution, operational efficiency, and measurable outcomes. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present marketing strategies, campaign results, and enrollment initiatives to senior leadership, faculty, external partners, and prospective student audiences. Ability to balance long-term brand strategy with short-term enrollment marketing priorities while adapting to changing market conditions, institutional goals, and emerging recruitment trends. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
