At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Santa Monica, CA! About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, youâll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Santa Monica, CA
Details:
- In-Person Tutoring in Santa Monica, CA
- Schedule: 10 hours, 2 sessions a week for 1.15 hours
- Pay range is between $25 and $35
Ideal Candidate:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
- Experience working with neurodiverse learners, particularly individuals with Autism or OCD.
- Strong background in Art History and visual arts (drawing, composition, and technique).
- Skilled in adapting instruction to different learning styles and needs.
- Patient, organized, and capable of providing clear, step-by-step instruction and constructive feedback.
- Preferred: Background in Special Education, fine arts education, or related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tutoring in Art History, focusing on concept comprehension, exam preparation, and essay organization.
- Offer structured, personalized guidance in drawing, emphasizing skill development, creative expression, and confidence-building.
- Support executive functioning skills such as organization, task planning, and time management for college coursework.
- Adapt lessons to the studentâs learning pace and communication style, maintaining patience and encouragement.
- Conduct sessions in person at Santa Monica College following the studentâs class schedule.
- Foster a positive, creative, and structured learning environment that supports both academic and artistic growth.
