About the Position:
The Office of Sponsored Programs works with university faculty, departments, and central offices to ensure the successful administration of externally sponsored funding. The Billing and Reporting team plays a critical role in financial management and oversight of externally sponsored funding.
Responsibilities:Preparing and submitting monthly invoices for sponsored awards;Assisting with preparation of monthly and quarterly receivables report;Assisting in the identification of payments received by the General Accounting office;Review of new awards and modifications for billing requirements and updating systems with the appropriate billing information; andAssisting with other billing, reporting, and closeout tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications:Finance and accounting experience;Demonstrated organizational skills and understanding of financial compliance requirements;Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and work independently; andMust be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and successfully complete a criminal background check as required by federal law.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a team environment and/or university setting is highly desirable.
