Join the University of South Carolina’s Office of Budget and Planning as a Budget Analyst. This key role supports the development, analysis, and oversight of the University’s budget, ensuring responsible resource allocation and sound financial planning. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the University’s mission through data-driven financial insight and collaborative budget management.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 4 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in business related field, CPA or 5 years related experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
The Budget Analyst will have strong analytical skills, integrity, sound judgment and excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills. Budget work demands the production of large volumes of high quality work in relatively short time periods. The ability to manage the successful completion of multiple concurrent projects along with day-to-day tasks is essential. A high level of confidentiality is required as are strong organizational skills. The ability to work as a strong team player is expected.
