Join Purdue University Fort Wayne:
We seek a full-time, on-site Business Analyst Registrar in our Student Information Systems department. This position is responsible for managing the Ellucian Banner ERP system which includes the student module. The annual salary for this position is $62,499.96.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform analysis, and aid in the design, development, and implementation of solutions serving the Registrar's Office business areas.
Aid in the troubleshooting of problems relating to Registrar's Office processes and workflow in the production environment.
Serve as technical adviser for functional areas within the Registrar's Office, communicating ramifications of system changes to campus entities whenever necessary.
Provide guidance to the Registrar's Office business areas in developing tests, training plans, and materials.
Provide quality oversight on tasks and deliverables.
Develop and maintain expert technical and operational knowledge of the Registrar's Office's systems.
Collaborates with other business analysts in implementing new systems or modules related to student data.
Research and reply to IT ticketing system.
Update SISS Website as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, business, information technology or related field.
Minimum three years of experience in designing and developing/implementing of business software solutions.
Knowledge or experience in business process improvement methodologies, business modeling, and requirements definition principles.
Experience with writing business requirements, test scripts, and training materials.
Familiarity with enterprise student information systems and third-party systems, and report writing tools.
Ability to effectively lead technology-related projects and communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences at various levels within the organization.
Ability to define business requirements and implement business process redesign.
Aid in the troubleshooting of problems related to registration process, or student records transmission between Purdue W. Lafayette and Indiana University systems, and other PFW software systems.
Ability to prioritize work tasks and work independently.
Support a continuous improvement business model including testing, training end users, and implementing new modules.
Ability to collaborate within the unit and across departments.
Knowledge and experience for building pathways for student data to move between software systems.
Familiarity with documenting business processes and training materials.
Knowledge of protecting student data and privacy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree.
Experience with Ellucian Banner. SLATE CRM, Degree Works, Qualtrics and Cognos.
Querying and report development.
