Business Development Executive – Data & AI Solutions (EdTech)

Role:
We are looking for a Business Development Executive to drive growth for our Data & AI solutions business across USA EdTech companies, educational publishers, K–12 districts, and Universities. The ideal candidate will have strong industry connections, experience selling technology or consulting services, and the ability to engage senior stakeholders on AI, data, and cloud transformation initiatives.
Business Development & Pipeline:
- Own end-to-end business development for Data & AI engagements in the education sector.
- Prospect, qualify, and build new client relationships through outreach, networking, referrals, and events.
- Manage pipeline, forecast revenue, and track opportunities using CRM tools.
- Lead RFP/RFI responses and proposal development with internal teams.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals.
Client Engagement & Advisory:
- Build relationships with CTOs, CIOs, CDOs, and senior stakeholders.
- Understand client challenges and recommend data and AI solutions.
- Deliver presentations, demos, and business discussions tailored to the education sector.
You will sell and position solutions spanning:
- Data modernization, analytics, and reporting solutions
- AI/ML and LLM-powered applications
- BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Looker
- Cloud solutions across AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Data governance and secure data architecture
- Staffing and professional services for Data & AI talent
Market & Industry Engagement:
- Stay updated on AI, cloud, and EdTech trends.
- Represent Magic EdTech at industry events and conferences.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong network within the education and learning industry.
- Experience in business development, sales, or account management for technology, AI, data, or cloud services.
- Experience working with EdTech companies, publishers, K–12 institutions, or universities.
- Understanding of AI, analytics, data platforms, and cloud technologies.
- Strong communication, presentation, networking, and relationship-building skills.=
- Ability to manage the full sales cycle independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Databricks, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- AWS, GCP, or Azure certifications are a plus.
