Element451 is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to lead, scale, manage, and develop a high-performing Business Development Representative (BDR) team. You will play a critical role in building a metrics-driven, highly effective outbound function that generates high-quality pipeline for the sales organization. This role requires a strong coach, a data-driven leader, and an expert in modern outbound prospecting techniques, sales methodologies, and GTM frameworks.
What you'll do:
- Scale, manage, and develop a rapidly growing team of talented BDRs and future sales leaders.
- Recruit, hire, and onboard top BDR talent who align with Element451’s performance-driven culture.
- Create development programs that support an established promotion path for BDRs into future leadership and sales roles.
- Foster a high-performance culture where BDRs are consistently achieving and exceeding goals.
- Provide strong coaching and mentoring, leveraging a deep understanding of sales methodologies, outbound prospecting, and business strategy to improve team performance.
- Refine and implement modern outbound prospecting techniques, including multi-channel engagement, intent-based targeting, and data-driven outreach.
- Optimize SDR operations and processes to ensure a high degree of efficiency, effectiveness, and personalization.
- Establish and track clear performance metrics (outreach activity, conversion rates, pipeline contribution) to ensure team success.
- Continuously analyze sales data to optimize workflows and adjust prospecting strategies for better results.
- Align closely with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to ensure seamless lead flow and pipeline growth.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure sales and marketing efforts are operating as one unit.
- Provide regular performance reports to leadership, offering insights into trends, successes, and areas for improvement.
- Lead with strong communication skills, ensuring transparency and clarity across teams.
- Leverage HubSpot CRM, Gong, and other prospecting tools to track performance, optimize workflows, and enhance outbound efficiency.
- Ensure data integrity and consistent reporting through regular CRM audits and automation improvements.
- Develop replicable frameworks for success that allow for scalability and consistency in outreach efforts.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years of sales management experience in an outbound/high-volume B2B SaaS environment (required).
- 6+ years of total sales experience, ideally in SaaS sales across SMB to enterprise segments.
- Deep fluency in prospecting tools (HubSpot, Gong, etc.) and modern outbound strategies.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS company with a track record of scaling and optimizing sales teams.
- A passion for coaching and developing BDRs, with a focus on career progression and leadership development.
- Expertise in designing and executing structured sales frameworks to drive consistency and success.
- A data-driven mindset, comfortable analyzing sales metrics and adjusting strategies based on performance insights.
