That’s why we build secure, intuitive tools that empower more than 26 million students and educators worldwide. We’re not just building tools, we’re building what’s next in education. By removing barriers and enabling data-driven decisions, our solutions help educators lead with confidence and students thrive in and out of the classroom every day.

Our team is driven by purpose and grounded in three core values:
  • Strive to Grow - always learning, improving, and innovating.
  • Deliver Worthwhile Experiences - for our users, our partners, and each other.
  • Contribute with Heart - putting people first in everything we do.

These values shape how we work, innovate, and support the communities we serve. If you’re ready to do work that makes a real difference, and grow alongside a team that values collaboration, support, and continuous improvement, then ClassLink is the place for you.

ClassLink is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to support our growth by building meaningful relationships with education leaders and generating high-quality sales opportunities. This is a field-focused, relationship-driven role with significant travel, centered on engaging district leaders and converting those conversations into scheduled demos for our sales team.

If the idea of spending your time meeting education leaders, opening doors, and turning conversations into real opportunities sounds energizing and not intimidating, this is the role where you can do that every day and see your impact directly in the demos you help create.

The ideal candidate enjoys being in front of people, thrives in event-driven environments, and takes pride in turning initial connections into clear next steps. This role works closely with Marketing & Sales to ensure ClassLink remains top of mind with school districts across the country.

Responsibilities:
Business Development & Field Engagement
  • Travel approximately 50–70% of the time to national conferences, regional events, and in-person meetings across the United States.
  • Proactively engage superintendents, technology leaders, and curriculum & instruction leaders to introduce ClassLink and initiate meaningful conversations.
  • Represent ClassLink with professionalism, warmth, and confidence, ensuring a strong and consistent brand presence at all events and meetings.
Lead Generation & Relationship Management
  • Own early-stage relationships from first contact through scheduling a completed demo with the sales team.
  • Conduct timely and thoughtful follow-up after events and meetings via email, phone, and LinkedIn.
  • Execute outbound outreach during non-travel periods to generate new conversations and re-engage existing prospects.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions, activities, and next steps in the CRM.
Marketing & Sales Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Sales to align on ideal customer profiles, qualification criteria, and messaging.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to support event strategy, including pre-event outreach, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up.
  • Share insights from the field, including common objections, messaging feedback, and market trends, to inform sales and marketing efforts.
Performance & Accountability
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly KPIs related to lead generation and demo bookings.
  • Manage travel schedules, time, and priorities effectively to remain productive both in the field and remotely.
  • Track performance metrics and use data to continuously refine outreach strategies and improve results.

NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employees may be asked to perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Requirements

  • 2-4+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a field-facing role (e.g., SDR/BDR, inside sales, account management).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confidence engaging prospects in person, over the phone, and digitally.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50–70% of the time nationwide.
  • Experience using a CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) to track leads and activity.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage follow-up, scheduling, and activity goals independently.

Preferred
  • Experience working with K-12 school districts, EdTech, or the education sector.
  • Familiarity with SaaS products or technology-based solutions.
  • Prior experience supporting field marketing efforts, events, or territory-based outreach.

Benefits:
  • Generous Paid Time Off: 4+ weeks of vacation and 13+ paid holidays
  • Parental Leave: 12 weeks fully paid for all parents
