Business Manager Full Description

Join Purdue University Fort Wayne
We seek a full-time, on-site Business Manager in our Administrative Business Services department. This position will manage the financial affairs and coordinate business services for the College of Visual Performing Arts. The annual salary for this position is $55,000.00.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provides timely and accurate financial information to the Dean, the Dean’s staff, and Department/Program Chairs/Directors. 
  • Advises on matters related to budget planning and utilization and serves as the liaison between VPA and other Purdue Fort Wayne Financial Affairs offices regarding the interpretation and implementation of established university policies and procedures. 
  • Provides leadership and uses organizational skills in meeting needs of campus in all aspects of business office processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related field.
  • Two years in accounting, budgeting, analyzing financial results, and developing financial projections.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong commitment to customer service.
  • Must have effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team or independently.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP or an ERP system preferred.
  • Supervisory experience.
