All Business Services Operations Specialists maintain an adherence to state laws and policies and follow university policies, procedures, and guidelines as a primary function of their daily responsibilities. Meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of business operations and reporting standards is necessary.

Completes all daily operational tasks associated with divisional travel, performs data entry tasks related to travel pre-approval and reimbursements of divisional staff. Provides data entry and review of divisional procurement activity, manages the intake of customer requests for items to purchase and/or contracts that need reviewed, approved, and implemented, and manages and performs all activities associated with divisional procurement processes through competency and use of the appropriate systems of record. Determines the best method of initiating a procurement action, including purchase order requisitions and purchasing card use.

Maintains responsibility and use of a university purchasing card and travel card. Provides other business and financial transactional/data entry support as needed and as deadlines dictate.
