Overview:
Manage a team of employees responsible for developing and delivering CAM-wide training initiatives.
Location: The person who takes on this position must report to our Crosspoint office (Getzville, NY) on a hybrid model.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of employees responsible for developing and delivering various CAM-specific training programs.
- Ensure high quality training curricula and instruction is maintained.
- Ensure consistency of delivery of all training and instruction across CAM’s different office locations.
- Plan, develop, and write training modules for training on collection activity.
- Coordinate acquisition conversion training.
- Develop and facilitate upper level technical and operational classes as well as product and management/sales curriculum throughout the Bank.
- Act as a resource to other trainers, evaluating current training situations, articulating new ideas and developing alternative recommendations.
- Exercise usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management and terminations.
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Provide direction and management to a group of Training Specialists in order to create comprehensive training programs for utilization within CAM. Interacts with middle- to senior-level managers within specific CAM departments to understand training needs and tailor materials to address specific needs.
Supervisory/ Managerial Responsibilities:
Manages a team of between 5-10 Training Specialists.
Education and Experience Required:
A combined minimum of 7 years' higher education and/or work experience including a minimum of 3 years' training or collection work experience inclusive of at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Education and Experience Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree.
Previous teaching experience.
Previous training experience.M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $71,985.72 - $119,976.20 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
