Job Summary

We are currently accepting applications for a part-time position in the Office of Career Services.
Job Duties:
• Assist both online and in-person students with career development services, including resume editing (via email and Handshake), virtual mock interviews, and career appointments
• Conduct classroom presentations independently on topics such as resume development, interview skills, and career readiness
• Attend and support local career days, career fairs, and community events
• Enter and manage appointments while assisting with data collection and analytics in Handshake
• Support students in creating and maintaining Handshake and LinkedIn profiles that highlight their skills, education, and career goals
• Assist with oversight of Handshake, the campus career development platform
• Assist with managing the ACTC Career Services Facebook group to promote job opportunities, internships, and events
• Deliver in-person and virtual workshops tailored to specific academic programs and career interests
• Provide resources and guidance to support career exploration and self-assessment
• Assist with planning and executing on-campus events, including mock interviews and career fairs
• Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong computer skills required, including proficiency with database systems such as Handshake, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Calendar, and Microsoft Teams
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word (editing, formatting, document development) and Excel (data tracking, basic analytics)
• Ability to manage and maintain detailed calendars, appointments, and communications
• Strong understanding of the growing role technology plays in delivering career services, including virtual platforms and online student engagement
• Professional presence with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, employers, and community partners
