Posting Summary
Serve as primary academic advisor to first-year and sophomore engineering, mathematics, statistics, and computer science students. Provide general academic advising for all CEMS students. Advise students regarding their academic standing, the four-year success plan, and routes to degree completion. Advise students, faculty, and staff on unusual academic situations. Provide primary general and holistic advising, coordinate with and refer students to specialty and focused resources. Department of Student Life, and the Center for Academic Success. Design, coordinate, and facilitate academic programming and support services specific to the needs of students and specific student populations. Coordinate and collaborate with fellow academic advisors, faculty and staff on the delivery of various experiential learning programs, support recruitment and admissions, and Belonging Equity missions of the College. Provide recruitment, and retention services to all CEMS students.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree and two to four years’ related experience required. Strong interpersonal communication and public speaking skills required. Effective organizational skills with attention to detail required. Experience working with diverse student populations required.
Desirable Qualifications
Background in academic advising highly desirable. Experience and knowledge of student information systems and advising platforms highly desirable. Understanding of high-impact practices and experiential learning desirable.
Anticipated Pay Range $55,000- $65,000 depending on experience

Special Conditions A probationary period may be required, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Background Check required for this position
