Salary Range: $50,000 -$70,000 per year; DOE
We seek a motivated and skilled Client Relationship Manager to join our Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation (MLFC) team. This role focuses on generating new business opportunities, managing the entire sales cycle, and building strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and engagement with our professional learning services, resulting in new education partnerships and revenue-generating opportunities. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a talent for communication, negotiation, and understanding client needs, who is dedicated to advancing MLFC's mission and reach in the education sector. Reporting to the MLFC Director of Professional Learning, the Client Relationship Manager will coordinate Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College's institutional outreach to schools, school districts, and education organizations. The Client Relationship Manager will represent a broad portfolio of professional learning programs and services designed to help schools and education systems empower the education workforce. This position will have clear goals: increase enrollment in our professional learning programs; other goals will emerge as the college's portfolio of programs and services expands. Key partners in the college will include a wide range of teams, staff, and faculty, including colleagues in the college's centers for education advancement, academic units, and business and marketing teams.
Essential Duties:
- Collaborate with the MLFC marketing team to generate new business opportunities and oversee the sales cycle from prospecting to closure.
- Engage with leads through sales presentations and follow-ups, ensuring a smooth sales process and serving as a consistent point of contact after the sale.
- Establish and maintain client relationships as the primary liaison to manage expectations and guarantee satisfaction with our professional learning services.
- Leverage market research insights to inform sales strategies and contribute to product development, tailoring solutions to meet client-specific needs.
- Monitor sales performance and client engagement, continuously utilizing feedback to enhance our professional learning offerings.

Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education or business, or in a related field
- Five (5) years prior experience in new business development and involvement with client negotiations in education
- Knowledge of the education industry and programs/products
- Demonstrated record of successfully developing new business and long-term partner relationships
- Demonstrated success in developing solutions that align with client needs
Working Environment:
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
- Frequently required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
- Evidence of effective communication.
