Department Overview:

At Code Ninjas, we teach kids ages 5-14 to code in a fun, engaging way—by creating video games, building robots, and exploring STEM. Our summer camps feature exciting topics like Minecraft, Roblox, 3D Printing, Lego Robotics, Stop Motion Animation, and more!

Minimum: 20 Maximum: 40

Schedule:

We offer flexible schedules—morning, afternoon or full-day shifts. No weekends .
Camp Hours:
Early Drop-Off Shift: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM (optional based on availability)
Morning Session: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM (includes prep & cleanup)
Afternoon Session: 12:30 PM – 4:00 PM (includes prep & cleanup)
Full-Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (for those covering early drop-off and both sessions)
Afterschool Session (Code Sensei): 3:45 PM – 7:00 PM (Tuesday - Friday)

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

Minimum: $15.00 Maximum: $17.00

Qualifications:

• Enjoy working with children ages 5 and up
• Presentation and classroom management skills to deliver camp curriculum
• Experience in teaching, mentoring, coaching, tutoring, child care, etc.
• Interact well with parents and kids; be a fun mentor that kids enjoy being around
• Enthusiasm for technology and STEM
• Coding background helpful but not required
• Ability to think on your feet to overcome technological glitches that inevitably occur

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Experience with Minecraft, Roblox, 3D printing, Lego Robotics, Scratch programming, or similar technologies is a plus, but not required.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

• Teach using the provided curriculum
• Manage the classroom environment, addressing behavior issues, and ensuring all students are engaged and having fun
• Ensure all camps have the necessary supplies, nametags, handouts, hardware, etc.
• Plan and lead icebreakers and fun break activities
• Offer guidance when students encounter challenges, help them debug their code, and assess their understanding
• Keep students focused and on task, and grade their work
• Conduct 1-on-1 introductory sessions with students and provide feedback to parents
• Report daily to the Center Manager on activities and student progress
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods
Set-up and clean-up of materials and equipment as needed
