POSITION SPECIFICS
The Communications & Case Management Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the ERC's statewide work by developing targeted communications, coordinating stakeholder engagement activities, and providing timely, high‑quality technical assistance. This position requires a skilled communicator who is detail‑oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing complex tasks in a fast‑paced environment with ambiguous or evolving expectations.
The ideal candidate will bring strong writing and presentation abilities, experience facilitating meetings for diverse or high‑level stakeholders, and a customer‑service orientation that prioritizes clarity, responsiveness, tenacity, and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

About the Education Resource Center
The Education Resource Center (ERC), located at Penn State Greater Allegheny near Pittsburgh, provides statewide technical assistance to the field of career and technical education (CTE) through projects funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Education's Bureau of Career and Technical Education (BCTE). The ERC's mission is to enhance the academic and technical achievement of high school students across more than 80 CTE schools and 150 school districts in Pennsylvania through the provision of support services and the development of strategic initiatives that advance access to high-quality CTE programming.

This position is based at Penn State Greater Allegheny in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, with opportunities for a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 remote days). Some travel within Pennsylvania will be required to support in‑person events or stakeholder engagements.
 
BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
