The Marketing and Communications Coordinator for the Office of Undergraduate Studies develops and executes communications that promote recruitment, retention, and career readiness programs within the McCausland College of Arts and Sciences. This role strengthens affinity for the College among key audiences-including prospective and admitted students, employers, faculty, staff, and community members-by building strong relationships and increasing visibility for programs and events. Effective communications will support higher engagement, improved attendance, and stronger recruitment and retention outcomes.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years experience in communications and electronic media, and/or public relations and marketing. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Ability to plan and organize multiple projects simultaneously while working independently. Basic graphic design skills and experience with Adobe lnDesign, Photoshop, or similar programs.

Collaborate with Office of Undergraduate Studies staff to determine content for emails and newsletters. Develop communication templates in partnership with the Communications team and manage email campaigns according to established schedules. Monitor performance metrics for email and social media campaigns and provide regular reports to assess effectiveness. Ensure communications are accurate, high-quality, and aligned with college standards by working with the Communications team for review and approval.

Collaborate with the Director of Communications to identify and support photo, video, and media relations opportunities related to events.

Collaborate with the College’s web manager and communications staff to ensure all pages meet university web standards and follow best practices. Stay current on required university web training and apply updates as needed.
