 Position Description 
Advertised Job Summary  | Serves as the Director of Communications for the Division of Human Resources (HR) by: Directing and managing an integrated communications strategy supporting that helps the overall Division and the various units within the Division (Benefits, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition/Recruitment, Organizational and Professional Development, International Services, Classification and Compensation and Operations, Services and Systems) achieve its specific objectives through communications to University Leadership, HR Contacts, supervisors, current and potential employees within the perimeters of the university’s branding and communication policies. Creates and develops web content and print content that supports the mission of the Division, communicates official HR actions, and disseminates best practices in human resource management. The Communications Director will collaborate on projects prioritized by the Division with colleagues within the Division of Human Resources and at times, across the university.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience  | Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 4 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Designs, develops, executes, and measures an integrative marketing and communications strategic plan to advance the Division of HR’s priorities and goals to the prescribed audience. Collaborates with senior leadership to identify key messages and target audiences. Develops plans to increase awareness of human resources content and promotes internal and external public relations to include a content/editorial calendar. Responsible for the social and digital media strategy, segmented marketing, and executing communications strategy on all social and digital platforms and within the perimeters of the university’s branding and communication policies. Ensures digital accessibility of HR communications.
