POSITION SPECIFICS​

The Pennsylvania State University Office of Budget & Finance invites applications for the position of Communications & Training Coordinator to support Budget & Finance operations.

The Communications & Training Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for all internal and external communications related to Budget & Finance processes and training. This role is responsible for developing, delivering, and improving training programs for Budget & Finance staff, and for ensuring clear, effective communication with stakeholders across the organization and with external partners. The position also supports the Budget & Finance leadership team by managing internal communication efforts, drafting key communications, and maintaining the department's web and intranet presence.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Design, update, and distribute training materials, guides, manuals, and visual aids to support financial knowledge, understanding of financial policies, technology adoption, and system use.
  • Collaborate with enterprise training teams to ensure content is delivered using university best practices.
  • Collect and analyze feedback on training and communications, using data to improve services and materials.
  • Communicate with internal departments and external partners to address issues, gather feedback, and implement improvements.
  • Provide strategic advice to department management regarding internal and external communications.

  • Experience with training program development and delivery
  • Ability to analyze feedback and implement process improvements
  • Familiarity with system administration, helpdesk operations, and stakeholder engagement

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $56,200.00 - $81,500.00.
