NOTE: This role is based in the NYC office and requires being in the NY Soho office three days per week.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Licensing Director, this role will support the day to day licensing business globally across Scholastic & 9 Story’s owned intellectual property and brands from third party producers.
This role is an ideal position for someone who loves children’s entertainment; considers organization, interacting with people, and creativity to be among their top skills; and is looking to gain experience and advance their career. The successful candidate will join a small, entrepreneurial licensing team charged with creating best in class consumer products for kids globally while growing Scholastic & 9Story’s revenue.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform administrative duties as required; manage VP schedules, book travel, create and submit expense reports and send agenda requests/reminders and liaise with internal departments, including but not limited to Marketing/PR, Creative, Development, Production, and Legal
- Manage the products approvals process across portfolio; onboard licensees into Mediabox & Bynder as well as lead creative kick offs, route submissions for approval, facilitate the notes process across all stakeholders, maintain timelines, and communicate feedback to IP owners & licensees
- Ensure contractual obligations are met; track and organize product samples, draft import letters, assist with forecasting and royalty reporting follow up and manage brand and product trackers
- Outline, create and design Franchise Playbooks, gather brand updates for newsletters as well as brand decks for markets
- Other varied duties and special projects as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort with cold-calling
- Detail-oriented, collaborative, self-starter with excellent project management skills and the ability to multi-task
- Proven track record of balancing a strategic and analytic approach with short deadlines and shifting priorities
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe platforms
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel as necessary
- Keen eye for design and presentation building. Experience in Canva preferred.
