The role involves supporting students through challenges by connecting them to campus and community resources, coordinating university accessibility services, and providing interventions to enhance student well-being.
Highlights
Implement case management and individual intervention strategies for students needing behavioral support and safety management.
Coordinate and supervise services for students with disabilities including accommodations and housing support.
Provide triage and referral for academic and personal success resources, including mental health and financial hardship.
Collaborate with university departments and external agencies to support students’ diverse needs.
Conduct training on disruptive student behavior and mental health for faculty and staff.
Maintain statistical reports and represent the office at university events and committees.
Required qualifications include a Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or college student personnel, plus at least two years of relevant higher education experience.
Experience with crisis management, disability issues, and knowledge of Federal Regulations 504, ADA Amendments, and FERPA is essential.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; preferred experience with student management software like Maxient or Starfish.
Anticipated salary range is $70,000 - $75,000 annually; full-time, professional exempt position in the VP Student Affairs department.
