One or more years of experience planning and executing events/programming. One or more years of experience working with students, faculty, and staff. Work with community resources and partnerships. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications | Earned Master’s degree in related field including Adult Education, Educational Leadership, Student Affairs, etc. from an accredited institution. One or more years’ experience developing, implementing, and evaluating outreach efforts, marketing, etc. Two or more years of direct experience working with students, faculty, and staff. Demonstrated experience working on large-scale programs or projects. Demonstrated knowledge of student development theory, assessment, and practices to foster student success. Technical experience in case management systems (e.g. Maxient), assessment tools (e.g. Qualtrics, PowerBI) and MS Office suite. Ability to work collaboratively with others.
Job Description | Reporting to an Assistant Director for CARE in the Dean of Students Office at Texas State University, this full-time Coordinator, Engagement position works individually to support the day-to-day operations and delivery of high-quality engagement opportunities that foster student success. This position coordinates outreach initiatives, oversees administrative processes, and collaborates to meet diverse student needs. The Coordinator functions as a part of the CARE Team, yet is expected to maintain a productive learning environment throughout the Dean of Students Office. The Coordinator serves as a resource for students and staff, promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment aligned with institutional priorities.
Job Duties | Plan and implement student programs and events that promote engagement and support the goals and priorities of the Dean of Students Office. Coordinate outreach initiatives and marketing strategies to increase awareness and participation in each unit’s resources, programs, and events. Collect and analyze data to assess program and resource effectiveness and prepare reports for continuous improvement. Represent the Dean of Students Office at meetings, committees, and events within the Division of Student Success (DSS) and the University. Function as a member of the CARE Team and Dean of Students Office professional staff team. Present at local, regional, and national meetings and conferences as requested. Other duties as assigned.
