Job Summary | Supports planning, coordination, and execution of conference and event programs. Facilitates same day event logistics and marketing. Oversees, schedules, plans, and executes all rentals within the arena. Serves as liaison and assists in overseeing intermittent event supervisors during events. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree preferably in sports management, business administration, facility management, hospitality management , or related degree. Experience in customer service, event planning, gathering marketing data, or related area. Related work experience may be substituted for education requirement. One (1) year of related work experience can be substituted for one (1) year of education. For example, a candidate with a high school diploma, GED or state recognized equivalent and four (4) years of related work experience can be eligible to apply.
Preferred Qualifications | Experience in event coordination, marketing or project coordination. Experience working in auxiliary services or arena operations unit in higher education or public setting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) | Excellent interpersonal skills, have a “Customer Focus” attitude, and ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in the CSU community. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships and work as an individual contributor and an effective team player, in addition to being highly organized, self-directed, and forward-thinking. Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment while managing multiple projects and meeting project deadlines. Ability to work flexible and irregular hours, including evenings and weekends. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
