  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience developing marketing assets and content for print, digital, and social media platforms.
  • Experience using marketing automation tools and/or content management systems.
  • Ability to develop and maintain proven marketing strategies.
  • More than one year of proficiency using marketing (including social media), as it relates to the delivery of programs and services.
  • Ability to manage time effectively to oversee multiple projects, programs, services, and customer service needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in graphic design and other relevant design tools or software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
  • Experience advising students or student organizations in a higher education/university environment.

Job Description
The Coordinator for Marketing and Communications in the department of Student Involvement and Engagement (SI&E) is responsible for developing and implementing marketing, social media, and communications for university-wide program efforts. The position coordinates and implements marketing and communication plans and projects. The position promotes a vibrant and engaging community ethos, connects students to the campus and surrounding communities, enhances sense of belonging for all students, and supports student success. The position is responsible for the supervision, coaching, and performance management of student employees. Responsibilities include oversight of the allocation of departmental funds, purchasing for marketing and communication, and ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures. The position reports to the Associate Director for Operations and Assessment.
Job Duties
  • Create, coordinate, and implement marketing, communication, outreach, and social media engagement strategies and materials for university-wide programs and services that connect students to campus, provide a sense of belonging, and contribute to student success.
  • Foster a positive and recognizable brand image, maintaining visual identity and branding guidelines.
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all materials and platforms.
  • Develop printed and electronic marketing material and social media graphics for the department in coordination with the university’s branding guidelines.
  • Manage the department website and social media platforms.
  • Monitor, analyze, offer recommendations, and report on marketing campaign effectiveness.
  • Use of technology platforms to manage and execute marketing and communications.
  • Support the departmental and divisional portfolio in developing greater visibility for student activities and student organizations.
  • Responsible for the supervision, coaching, and performance management of student employees.
  • Ensure fiscal responsibility, effective planning and use of resources, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and University policies and procedures.
  • Actively participate in departmental programs and projects designed to support the mission and goals of the university, division, and department.
