The Office of Admissions is looking for an individual with a strong customer support background, preferably in a higher education environment, and strong reading and writing skills to fill our Coordinator of Special Programs position. Apply now to join our team!The Coordinator of Special Programs serves in a dual role on the Undergraduate Enrollment & Scholarship Team. Provides information and counseling to prospective students and applicants in response to inquiries and/or concerns regarding specified scholarships maintained by the Office of Admissions, including but not limited to the Academic Excellence Scholarship, the Top 10% Scholarship, and the Transfer Academic Achievement Scholarship. Additionally, this position assists with the decisioning process for first-time-in-college freshman applicants to UT Dallas programs.
Minimum Education and Experience | - Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- A minimum of two years of experience providing support to programs or projects or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience | Previous experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions or another student records management module Previous experience with Salesforce or another customer relationship management module
Other Qualifications | To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Deliver exemplary customer service by interacting with and assisting prospective students and applicants by telephone, email, or in person to provide information and counseling across various scholarships within the UT Dallas Office of Admissions, and by assisting as needed with general freshman admission inquiries. Research and resolve questions and concerns by demonstrating a high level of proficiency across various software applications such as PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Salesforce CRM, and OnBase ECM; answer or distribute email inquiries within Salesforce as needed. Identify and coordinate with various department representatives to resolve more complex questions and issues; serve as an information resource for Office of Admissions staff as well as external departments and units. Stay current on federal, state, and institutional practices and procedures, as well as detailed scholarship information. Work within various systems to accurately and efficiently make decisions for freshman applications, including serving on committees for more complex applicant files. Identify and report technology or other business process issues related to application and scholarship award decisioning. Manage and execute specific projects as assigned. May assist with employee management including onboarding, training, and timesheet management. Attend required functions and required meetings and participate in Enrollment Management Unit events, which may require working after normal business hours and/or on weekends. Other duties as assigned.

Remote Work NoticeFollowing successful completion of an initial training period, a
hybrid work schedule may be available, subject to business needs and departmental approval.
Employee must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be cancelled.
