General Summary
Oversee all activities of Tutoring Services at Holman Success Center. This position will work in a team environment that will facilitate creating, establishing, and maintaining the tutoring culture that supports students institution-wide.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise all activities of Tutoring Services at Holman Success Center, including recruitment, selection, training, maintaining list of qualified students willing to tutor privately, creating and scheduling in-person and virtual tutoring sessions, management and evaluation of tutors, and management of program graduate assistants.Plan, develop, assess, and deliver academic workshops targeted to undergraduate students.Evaluate tutoring needs based on DFWI (drops, fails, withdrawals, incompletes) course rates, volume, and student requests.Develop and monitor the student help tutoring budget.Identify/create instructional resources for tutors and students – support an instructional resources website.Maintain communication and coordination with departmental faculty, staff liaisons, and other EMU student service centers for tutoring services.Collect, analyze, and report data for program evaluation and improvement. Make regular reports to the Department Head.Maintain professional expertise through reading, participation in professional organizations and workshops, and other relevant professional development activities.Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge and skills in student success and learning techniques, typically acquired through a master's degree in an educational discipline or educational leadership, are required.

A minimum of two years of experience in a college-level learning center is also required.

Experience with CRM systems is required.

Strong written and oral communication skills and organizational and interpersonal skills are also necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:Formal tutoring at the college or university level is highly desirable.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

Special Instructions:
Coordinate and supervise the Individual Tutoring, Supplemental Instruction (SI), Study Tables, and Academic Success Workshops.

Provide direct supervision for student employees, including tutors, Supplemental Instruction Leaders, peer mentors, and graduate assistants as assigned.

Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, evaluation, and retention processes for all tutoring and Supplemental Instruction personnel.

Establish and maintain operational systems, policies, procedures, manuals, and documentation that promote consistency, continuity, and program effectiveness.

Coordinate semester scheduling for tutoring, Supplemental Instruction sessions, study tables, workshops, and related academic support services.
