Job Description:
Enterprise Technology seeks a Student Experience Coordinator to manage daily operations, student staff development, and engagement programming for the Tempe Tech Hub, ASU's flagship student-facing technology engagement space. 
The Tempe Tech Hubsupports students as they access technology resources, receive device and software support, explore creative and emerging tools, and connect technology to their academic, creative, and professional goals. This role is responsible for ensuring that the hub operates reliably, delivers a strong student experience, and continues evolving from a reactive service location into an outcomes-focused engagement destination. 

The Student Experience Coordinator will oversee day-to-day operations, supervise and develop student workers, coordinate programming, track engagement trends, support campus partnerships, and help align space, staffing, and resources with the strategic goals of Tech Hub. 

This position reports to Tech Hub leadership and requires regular on-site presence at the Tempe campus. Position Salary Range: $51,500.00 - $55,000.00 annually; depends on experience

Essential Duties:
  • Plans, organizes, and coordinates daily operations of the Tempe Tech Hub, including staffing coverage, scheduling, space readiness, equipment availability, service delivery, and student-facing support activities. 
  • Identifies operational gaps, service issues, or workflow inefficiencies and recommends improvements to support reliability, consistency, and student engagement. 
  • Supports implementation of service standards, operating procedures, and performance expectations in alignment with Tech Hub goals. 
  • Hires, trains, schedules, supervises, and evaluates student workers assigned to the Tempe Tech Hub. 
  • Provides coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to help student workers build technical, operational, customer service, and leadership skills. 
  • Identifies student workers with growth potential and supports their development through increased responsibility, peer mentoring, project assignments, and skill-building opportunities. 
  • Develops, coordinates, and facilitates student engagement activities that encourage students to return to the Tempe Tech Hub throughout their academic experience. 
  • Plans and supports hackathons, workshops, and other programming related to creative technology, productivity tools, emerging technologies, AI tools, and student success. 
  • Tracks student engagement data, including visit patterns, participation trends, service needs, return visits, and program outcomes. 
  • Coordinates with campus partners to identify opportunities for shared programming, student outreach, workshops, events, and collaborative services. 
  • Moves partnership opportunities from initial conversation to active collaboration by coordinating logistics, clarifying goals, and supporting implementation. 
  • Communicates Tech Hub services, programming, and engagement opportunities to campus stakeholders in a clear and professional manner. 
  • Uses data, student feedback, staff input, and operational observations to improve the Tempe Tech Hub experience. 
  • Documents processes, outcomes, challenges, and recommendations in a clear and actionable manner. 
  • Maintains a student-centered, outcomes-focused approach to daily decisions and long-term improvements.
  • Leverage AI in routine tasks and contribute ideas for using AI to improve the unit's efficiency and overall performance.
  • Take responsibility for fostering a positive culture, upholding organizational values, and championing engagement in all its forms.
  • Collaborate across teams and actively participate in ET/ASU events and programs.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience managing operations in a student-facing or community-facing environment and can speak to what they were accountable for, not just what they contributed to 
  • Experience supervising or developing others, with evidence that those people grew under their watch 
  • Track record of moving student or community engagement in a measurable direction return visits, participation trends, or documented outcomes 
  • Experience activating a campus or community partnership that produced something concrete 
  • Familiarity with enterprise or creative technology tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft 365, AI tools, or similar)  
  • Strong operational instincts: scheduling, budget tracking, process documentation, and anticipating problems before they escalate 
  • Direct, honest communicator who brings data and specific examples, not just impressions 
  • Demonstrated ability to model empathy, compassion, and emotional intelligence.
  • Experience in a values-driven organization with a strong commitment to inclusion and belonging.

Working Environment:
  • Activities are performed primarily in person at the Tempe campus in an active student-facing technology hub environment. 
  • Work includes regular use of a computer workstation, standing, walking, moving throughout the hub space, interacting with students and staff, and responding to changing operational needs. 
  • May require occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of equipment or materials up to 25 pounds. 
  • The environment is fast-paced and may require shifting priorities while maintaining service quality, staff coordination, and operational continuity. 
  • Regular on-site presence is required.
