Copywriter - Contract Full Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Copywriter - Contract to support Discovery Education’s Marketing initiatives by producing brand-aligned, high-impact written content across multiple channels. This role plays a critical function in bringing our voice to life through content that engages educators, partners, and key stakeholders. The copywriter will collaborate across teams including Sales, Product, and Creative Services to develop short-, medium-, and long-form content aligned with campaign goals and product messaging. You will help position Discovery Education as a leader in K–12 education through clear, compelling, and audience-driven writing.

 In This Role You Will:

 Marketing Collateral Creation and Distribution

 • Write and refine marketing copy for sales and marketing collateral including flyers, postcards, product brochures, and web content
 • Update and maintain a content library to reflect product updates, seasonal campaigns, and marketing offers
 • Project manage collateral creation, including collaboration with Product Marketing to align product value props, and with Creative Services to facilitate design
 • Work with Sales Enablement to publish content internally through Seismic, Slack, email
 • Leverage generative AI tools to increase speed and scale of content creation

 Campaign Support and Collaboration

 • Partner Campaign teams to develop marketing copy aligned to campaign goals and strategies, including content for landing pages, email sequences, and paid ads
 • Incorporate input from stakeholders including Growth and Product Marketing to tailor messaging to campaigns
 • Proof content for Marketing team members to ensure quality and consistency of brand voice
 
 Editorial Excellence

 • Ensure consistency in tone, voice, and messaging across assets and platforms
 • Self-edit and proof content to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, and alignment to style guide
 • Apply SEO and accessibility best practices where relevant
 
 Project Management and Delivery

 • Manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
 • Track revisions, feedback, and asset versions using project management tools like Asana

 • Familiarity with education, edtech, or B2B content a plus
 • Proficiency with collaborative platforms such as Google Workspace and project management tools
 • Legal right to work in the United States
 
This role is designed to be remote. As a contract role, this position is not eligible for full-time employee benefits. Candidates must be based in the United States and have a reliable internet connection to participate in virtual meetings and team collaboration.
