Corporate Controller
Finance - Columbia, Maryland (Hybrid)

ThriveDX is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead our Accounting function and oversee all key controlling activities. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong technical accounting knowledge, experience managing and developing teams, and the ability to drive operational excellence. This person will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and maintaining a robust control environment as we scale.

The Corporate Controller will report to the EVP of Finance and will work closely with leadership across the organization. This is a hybrid role based in our Columbia, MD office, with an expectation of being in the office three days per week.

Responsibilities 
  • Lead the Accounting team and all day-to-day accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, consolidations, and revenue recognition.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies in accordance with GAAP and company objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage annual audit process and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Lead optimization and continuous improvement of accounting processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, Operations, and Business leaders on accounting implications of business initiatives.
  • Manage and optimize the company’s ERP system (NetSuite); lead any relevant enhancements or upgrades.
  • Support tax compliance and international accounting needs.
  • Provide accounting guidance on international transaction pricing and intercompany arrangements (experience in this area is preferred, but not required).

Experience/ Skills Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including prior experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
  • Experience managing and developing accounting teams.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, ideally NetSuite.
  • Experience with international accounting and intercompany transactions preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
