Job Summary | This position will provide direct communication and support to students who may be facing mental health, food/housing insecurity or other related basic needs. Some services provided will be counseling, education programs, on and off campus referrals and advocacy.
Minimum Education and Experience | Master’s degree in social work, counseling or psychology. One year of experience with mental health case referrals.
Preferred Education and Experience | Licensure preferred One year of higher education working in a Counseling Center or other student support role.
Other Qualifications | To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities | Provide basic mental health and wellbeing support to students referred to the Behavior Assessment and Intervention Team. Services may include individual counseling, crisis intervention, consultation with students/staff/faculty/parents, and case management/referrals Serve as a member of the BAIT (Behavior Assessment and Intervention Team) and provide BAIT case management, utilizing the NaBITA Risk Rubric, to include identifying on and off campus resources. Assist with planning/conducting group and individual programs to enhance social development of students. Collaborate with multidisciplinary on-campus and off-campus partners to ensure coordination of student care and resources. Work with the Associate Dean of Students to provide temporary accommodations relating to mental health. Provide post hospitalization support.

Remote Notice: After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
