Job Summary |
Join a team that drives the university’s strategic success by shaping and supporting innovative CRM technology solutions. In this role, you’ll collaborate with campus technology partners to enhance the Office of Institutional Success and Decision Support (OISDS) through advanced data integration and Salesforce platform development.
This position proactively develops and supports OISDS CRM technology product solutions in conjunction with university technology partners. The role focuses on data management and integration development between the Salesforce Education Cloud platform and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
As a CRM Analyst, you will support the administration of the Salesforce Education Cloud and Marketing Cloud platforms, with primary responsibilities centered on designing, configuring, and automating solutions for the University Student Success implementation. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and enhance platform functionality.
Key responsibilities include managing user permissions, maintaining data integrity, and resolving errors related to student information. The role also involves monitoring system integrations, tracking application platform changes, updating rule‑based automation, and creating documentation of business practices.

Experience with data integration development using enterprise tools such as Boomi, Informatica, or MuleSoft. Experience in database development, including writing and editing SQL queries. Salesforce Administrator or Platform Developer certification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions, including Apex classes, triggers, LWCs, Flows, and Visualforce pages. Build and maintain OmniStudio components, including OmniScripts, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors, and FlexCards, following best practices for performance and reusability. Optimize and refactor existing Apex code, OmniStudio components, Flows, and integrations to improve performance and system reliability. Develop and maintain API integrations using MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, or custom REST/SOAP service Perform system maintenance, release readiness verification, sandbox management, and troubleshoot complex technical issues (including after-hours support when required). Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, integration specs, and developer runbooks. Conduct comprehensive unit testing, regression testing, code reviews, and ensure compliance with Salesforce and OmniStudio development standards. Manage deployment and CI/CD activities, including metadata migration, DataPack deployment for OmniStudio, sandbox refresh strategies, and Git version control. Ensure all developed solutions follow Salesforce best practices, including governor limit management, secure coding principles, integration patterns, and performance optimization. Support in driving CRM system enhancements to optimize the daily functioning of university operations. Participate in user groups and communicate directly with stakeholders from both academic and administrative units across campus. Work both independently and in partnership with other team members to proactively identify possible breakpoints for current processes, troubleshoot issues, and develop future solutions from research to implementation stages. Document operational processes and convey technical concepts to non-technical users.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Complete Salesforce Administrator/Developer Certifications within first year in addition to skills in SQL, SOQL, SOSL, OmniStudio – Integration Procedures, Data Integration, and REST API development. Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborative team members. High business acumen in dealing with co-workers and vendors of varying technical levels and project engagement. Strong understanding of Salesforce and OmniStudio architecture, including DataRaptor patterns, Integration Procedure design, and OmniScript UX best practices. Ability to independently analyze and resolve system defects, integration failures, OmniStudio runtime errors, and Apex/LWC performance issues. Strong initiative, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on improving system reliability, performance, and user experience. Ability to collaborate with CRM team members and cross-functional teams to deliver clean, scalable, and efficient technical solutions.

Work Notice:OISDS staff have the option to work remotely. As such, this role is eligible for a remote work schedule, subject to manager approval. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days upon approval. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be canceled at any time. Individuals may be required to use personal computers and other standard office equipment in order to work remotely. The CRM Analyst must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus within 24 hours of notice.
