Curriculum Assistant I Full Description

Position Summary
The Curriculum Assistant will oversee, plan, develop, upload and maintain educational materials needed by faculty for laboratory and lecture demonstrations for the College of Veterinary Medicine. This position also assists with exam preparation and maintaining computerized data files for exam questions.
Core Responsibilities 
Quality control in learning management systems, organization of course materials in D2L, Teams and ExamSoft; training faculty and staff on how to utilize D2L and ExamSoft; uploading grades in D2L.
Exam management, including organizing, uploading, maintaining, and managing the revision of computerized test bank and test bank procedures in Desire2Learn (D2L) and ExamSoft; managing the exam process including organization of proctors, accommodations and IT support.
Provides faculty/academic support, including managing the revision/development of class materials in order to assist faculty with their teaching needs; assisting with course scheduling; developing educational techniques such as audiovisual presentations and computerization in order to assist faculty in their teaching needs; and maintaining student records for faculty.
Coordinates, oversees and plans for procurement of materials and the set-up and take-down of classroom laboratories; and performs other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program (BS preferred) in Health Education, Professional Education, Science Education, or Curriculum Design; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience and knowledge of curriculum in the area of employment; word processing, database, spreadsheet and presentation software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with Desire2Learn (D2L), iClickers, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Pro Suite, and ExamSoft; experience in developing educational techniques such as audiovisual presentations and computerization; demonstrated excellence in communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills and ability to interact with varied constituents in a timely courteous and professional manner; demonstrates problem solving, teamwork and adaptability to change, focus on service, and continuous learning for self-improvement. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, details, and prioritize work to meet deadlines and learn new systems quickly and troubleshoot with faculty/students tactfully.
