Position Summary
The Curriculum and Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining comprehensive learning programs that support organizational objectives and employee growth. This role focuses on creating structured curricula and engaging materials for instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced training formats. Working closely with subject matter experts, the designer ensures learning objectives are clearly defined and content is translated into effective, interactive experiences using proven adult learning principles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain curriculum and learning materials for instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced training programs.
  • Build structured learning paths that support both organizational goals and employees’ growth.
  • Develop facilitator guides, participant workbooks, job aids, and engaging resources (micro-learnings, videos, e-learning modules, simulations, etc.).
  • Use proven adult learning strategies and practical design methods to make training valuable and enjoyable.
  • Ensure that learning programs align with the organization's competency requirements, skills matrix, and professional standards
  • Use authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Camtasia) to build interactive e-learning modules.
  • Manage and update content within the LMS (Workday preferred); monitor usage and engagement.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and learner feedback.
  • Maintain records of training activities, attendance, and assessment results.
  • Assist in developing instructional standards and templates for consistent content delivery.
  • Support continuous improvement of learning programs through stakeholder feedback and data analysis.
  • Promote innovative ideas for content delivery using available systems and software.

Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, Education, Human Resources, Business Management, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in instructional design, learning technologies, or training development.
  • Experience with LMS platforms (Workday preferred) and authoring tools (Articulate, Camtasia required).
  • Understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct needs assessments, evaluate training effectiveness, and manage multiple projects.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
