About the Role
We are currently looking for a Customer Constulant responsible for helping our customers maximize usage of their existing solutions within our Life Sciences risk management-safety portfolio. The portfolio consists of PharmaPendium, Embase, and Embiology. You would work with the following industries: pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical device.
The Customer Consultant is a critical team member responsible for onboarding and training new customers and working to ensure customer satisfaction. You would also be responsible for working with Solution Sales Managers and Account Managers to engage upsell and cross sell opportunities and renewal conversations. You would report to the Director of Americas Life Science Sales and should be based in the West. The territory would be the Western United States and Canada.

Our solutions provide vital online information and tools to help our clients monitor for adverse events and make more informed drug development decisions on safety and efficacy, risk assessments and mitigation, study designs, and drug-drug interactions. We are the leaders in what we do!
Responsibilities
- Training research scientists, regulatory scientists, medical affairs specialists, and information professionals with the goal of maintaining and building risk management-safety sales and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Creating and executing a territory plan, maximizing time and account penetration with top tier accounts.
- Developing an exceptional understanding of competitor landscape and be able to position our products with a strong value story.
- Developing a deep understanding of customer segments and translate how our information tools can help meet specific needs.
- Becoming an expert on various research workflows and drug discovery processes to be able to assist customers.
- Providing continuous feedback to product and marketing teams; participate in projects to help accurately assess market conditions and provide strategic initiatives for new product development, including customized solutions.
Requirements
- Have a bachelor's degree. Having an advanced degree, or Life science degree are highly valued.
- Have a minimum of 5 years consulting or teaching experience.
- Experience within corporate/commercial markets highly valued.
- Experience working with pharma/biotech and medical device companies highly valued.
- Experience working with Salesforce to track sales activity is helpful.
- Experience working within an international matrixed organization is helpful.
- Display excellent analytical and presentation skills.
- Display exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Are fluent in English.
- Able to travel (20% approximate).

Salary Range
California is required by state law to post salary ranges. this role is anticipated to pay between $90,000-100,000 USD in a base salary. As a revenue role it will also be eligible for additional incentive based on achieving goals.
