This is a hybrid roles and requires onsite work 3 days a week in our Newton, MA office.
The Data Architect is responsible for Design, Build and Delivery of Data technology solutions on Bright Horizons Customer Data Platform (CDP) that are aligned with business needs. Candidate should be able to understand overall CDP / Data eco system, build roadmaps aligned to business need and provide technical recommendations, best practices working with internal & external teams to deliver results. Collaborate with Product and Business Organizations on requirements, roadmap and deliverables and produce organizationally aligned outcomes. Prior experience on implementing enterprise level data initiatives and next generation technologies is a requirement.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on design, development and execution of Data Engineering and Data Analytics solutions on CDP
- Design and implement Data led MarTech solutions on CDP that helps marketing / business team to leverage and build on the platform.
- Design and build solutions on CDP, built on Microsoft Customer Insights Data (CI-D),Customer Insights Journey (CI-J), to further enhance the platform with more capabilities as needed.
- Define and implement data architecture frameworks, standards, and principles, including data modeling, metadata management, data security, and master data management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data extraction, transformation processes and data integration strategies.
- Participate in proposing new technical architectures and solutions to improve and enhance existing architectures.
- Determine scope and provide level of effort estimates for project tasks and related activities, and match required skill sets to task requirements and allocate team resources appropriately.
- Experience with data modeling and schema design, data normalization / de-normalization, and data integration approaches and technologies such as those used in multi-source enterprises.
- Effective Communication & articulation with internal and external stakeholders
- Teamwork: Team player and technology leader in organization set up
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
- 7 years in Data Architecture and building Data Engineering solutions and products
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Advanced understanding of Data Engineering and Science technologies to build custom Data solutions on different Data platforms including CDPs.
- Advanced understanding of building bespoke CDPs preferably on Microsoft CI-D /CI-J or any other platforms such as Salesforce, Adobe, Tealium or others.
- Preferred Experience with Microsoft Azure ecosystem including CI-D/CI-J, Dynamics 365 Customer Insights, Azure Data Lake, Azure Purview, and Azure OpenAI integration.
- Experience with real-time data ingestion and processing using tools like Azure Event Hubs, Kafka, or Stream Analytics
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing customer identity resolution frameworks and Customer 360 views using deterministic and probabilistic matching techniques.
- Familiarity (or aptitude in line) with integrating ML models into CDPs for personalization, churn prediction, or segmentation using Azure ML or Databricks.
- Understanding of MarTech stack includes technologies such as Web Tagging and Analytics, Customer Match and Merge, or personalization.
- Keep current on CDPs technology roadmap and provide recommendations on the adoption of new features that would benefit BH.
- Thorough understanding of the complete software development life cycle with ability to learn and adapt to innovative technologies quickly.
- Good understanding to build application integrations with data platforms ensuring data security, data access and service-oriented architecture solutions.
- Knowledge of Data Technologies such as PySpark, Azure, Synapse, Snowflake, Data Factory, Informatica cloud, SQL Databases and others.
- Familiarity with information integration activities such as mapping and transformation, data validation, and data analysis including data mining and business intelligence.
- Experience building and supporting mission critical applications, running in a highly distributed manner.
- Familiarity with configuration management concepts and tools, source code control, and development standards.
- Familiarity with software usability concepts.
- Experience collaborating with multiple customers and technical staff, including building consensus and mediating compromises when necessary.
- Strong logical and technical critical thinking skills.
- Strong judgment and decision-making ability.
- Passion and ability in providing excellent customer service.
- Experience overseeing (from a technical perspective) multiple projects.
