Customer Success Engineer
Flint | New York City | Full-Time
Base salary: $100,000 - $140,000, plus meaningful equity
About Flint
Founded in 2023, Flint is an AI-powered platform built for schools. In three years it has partnered with hundreds of schools across the U.S. and internationally, supporting more than 750,000 students, and it is now scaling its Customer Success function to keep schools supported, engaged, and successful as it grows.
About the Role
Flint is looking for a Customer Success Engineer who cares about customer outcomes and wants to use systems, automation, and AI to deliver them better at scale. You will be the second member of the Customer Success team, owning real accounts, renewals, and outcomes while helping improve how the whole function operates, and you will work regularly with the CEO and GTM Chief of Staff.
This is a builder role inside Customer Success. Flint believes every role should be AI-native, using AI as a core part of how the team writes, analyzes, supports customers, and builds workflows.
What You Will Do
- Own inbound customer communication.
- Manage a portfolio of school accounts, ensuring adoption and successful renewals.
- Create and improve customer-facing resources, including product updates, help center content, and teacher professional development materials.
- Use AI tools and lightweight internal systems to improve the speed, quality, and consistency of customer work.
- Run virtual and sometimes onsite professional development sessions for teachers at Flint partner schools.
- Learn what drives retention, adoption, expansion, and net revenue retention, and turn those learnings into better processes, tooling, and automation.
Who You Are
- About one to three years of experience in customer success, support, operations, or a similar customer-facing, systems-adjacent role.
- You care about outcomes such as retention, adoption, and customer impact, not just activity.
- You like ownership and ambiguity and enjoy building the plane while flying it.
- Bonus: experience in education, teaching, or edtech, and startup experience.
