Data Analyst Coordinator I Full Description

Position Summary

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, Reviews and analyzes data to identify and resolve inconsistencies and ensure admissions, enrollment, and student success data is accurate and meets requirements.
  • Coordinates recurring data files, reports, documentation, and information flows to support IR reporting needs.
  • Compiles information from internal and external data sources to support data-informed decisions.
  • Maintains ongoing proficiency in admissions/enrollment/student success data, reporting cycles, data governance, FERPA-sensitive data handling, and reproducible dataset preparation.
  • Assists with annual or regular reporting requirements.
  • Works collaboratively across university areas on institutional research projects.

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree in Business, Communications, Math, Liberal Arts or related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in administrative record-keeping and ability to understand, apply and interpret federal, state, institutional regulations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Campus Solutions and the Student Information System.
  • Ability to use data retrieval and manipulation tools, such as Stata, SQL, and/or Python, and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of GIS and text analysis methods.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent work organization skills, with the ability to attend to detail and flexibly manage multiple activities in a deadline-oriented environment. 
  • Prior experience with program management and project management.
