We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Data Architect to support enterprise data initiatives by designing, documenting, and enhancing our modern data architecture. The role is responsible for maintaining data models, applying governance best practices, and enabling analytics through structured, scalable, and trusted data solutions using platforms such as Databricks, Oracle, and Power BI.

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and technical skills, including expert SQL proficiency, and a proven ability to effectively communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. This person will also excel in working collaboratively and cross-functionally on a variety of different projects and will welcome opportunities to expand their knowledge and skillset in an evolving data landscape.
 
For this role, we are looking for someone who will dive deep into the data, using advanced techniques to analyze complex data assets; this person will go beyond traditional data analysis to uncover meaningful insights and drive data-driven decision-making around what to build and why.
 
This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.
 
How can you make an Impact?  
  • Conduct data analysis and generate insights to inform architectural decisions and improve existing pipelines from end to end.
  • Support implementation of the Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) with structured design and clean data flow across layers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Analytics Delivery, back office, data engineering, data science, strategy, and operations) to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data solutions.
  • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, data pipelines, diagrams, and models.
  • Design, document, and maintain dimensional models using Kimball methodology to support self-service and reporting use cases.
  • Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and other visualization tools. Mentor junior data analysts and contribute to the professional development of the team.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify data quality issues, usage patterns, root causes, and business impacts.
  • Build and maintain data catalogs, metadata definitions, and lineage documentation
  • Assist with data ingestion and transformation using Databricks, Python, and Informatica IICS.
  • Develop semantic models and visualizations in Power BI, with a focus on enabling business-driven analysis.
  • Work with Oracle databases to support both operational and analytical data needs. 
    Ensure all data artifacts align to governance standards, quality expectations, and performance benchmarks.
 
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical or reporting role.
  • 2–5 years of experience in data analyst, data engineering, or advanced analytics.
  • 5+ years expertise with SQL, Data Blending and/or ELT tools such as Informatica or Alteryx.
  • 5+ years of experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • 5+ years of experience in designing database structures and relationships with data modeling techniques and creating Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) using tools such as Erwin, Lucid Chart
  • 3+ years of cloud experience such as AWS or OCI
  • Proven ability to perform deep data analysis using SQL, Python, or BI tools, identifying patterns, anomalies, and business drivers.
 
Working knowledge of:
  • Oracle and relational data modeling
  • Kimball-style dimensional modeling
  • Databricks (notebooks, Lakehouse architecture)
  • Power BI, Tableau (modeling, DAX, visuals)
  • Python for scripting and analysis
  • Informatica IICS or other ETL tools
  • Familiarity with data governance, cataloging, and metadata practices.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to document and explain data decisions clearly.
 
Preferred Experience & Skills:
  • Experience with Salesforce.com (SFDC) platform data integration and analysis.
  • Experience with Big data platforms like Databricks and knowledge of storage formats like Parquet, Delta
  • Experience with Oracle SaaS applications (e.g., Oracle HCM, Oracle ERP).
  • Experience with Python for data analysis
  • Experience with data analysis from Product Experience Platforms Pendo, Google Analytics, or Adobe.
  • Experience with data integration tools such as Informatica PowerCenter and/or Alteryx
  • Experience in the EdTech or SaaS industry.

The pay range for this position is between $95,000- $110,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
