Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.  | Experience with data governance, management, and/or data literacy training. Preferred Qualifications  | Experience supporting data governance and stewardship initiatives in higher education. Experience with educational data and reporting at the state, regional, or federal level. Experience with higher education student information systems (e.g., Banner, Workday) Experience using Tableau, PowerBI, or similar business intelligence tools. Experience using Qualtrics or other on-line survey tools. Master’s degree or higher in a related field.

Job Description  | The Data, Analytics, and Institutional Research (DAIR) office at Texas State University seeks a dynamic individual to support our data governance, analytics, and reporting efforts. Under the direction of the Assistant Director for Data Management, you will consult with functional and academic offices to guide data governance and management initiatives, help coordinate and lead institutional data literacy efforts, and support data-informed decision making across campus.

Job Duties  | Collaborate with subject matter experts to document data assets, elements, and reports. Assist with data literacy training efforts across campus, including the development, maintenance, and delivery of training materials. Support the implementation of data governance, management, and stewardship practices. Assist in organizing and coordinating data governance meetings, user groups, and working sessions. Help draft professional materials promoting data governance and data literacy efforts. Build and implement workflow processes for data management and data governance initiatives. Translate functional and academic data needs to technical specifications. Identify data quality metrics and conduct regular data quality audits. Recommend improvements to data management policies and standards. Assist with the design and creation of standardized data sources and interactive dashboards. Build and maintain effective working relationships with other offices on campus. Assist with the creation and maintenance of procedural documentation and knowledge resources.
