As part of the Product Growth team, the Product Manager for User Data Discovery plays a critical role in driving user personalization across the platform. You will enable personalization by understanding data needs, prioritizing use cases, and leading a cross-functional product team to create datasets and data streams that product teams across Skills will use to create personalized experiences.
What You'll Own
  • Driving product mission, vision and strategy
  • Defining, prioritizing, and delivering outcomes with your team
  • Discovering customer needs and balancing those with business objectives
  • Designing datasets that enable product and business outcomes
  • Designing research strategies to test proposed solutions cost-effectively
  • Collaborating with engineering team members through problem solving to create innovative solutions that are viable, desirable, and feasible
  • Maintaining quality of data product through strong governance
  • Communicating plans, progress, goals, and roadblocks to stakeholders
  • Translating product initiatives into requirements documentation
  • Helping the team reflect and improve on how they work

Experience You'll Need
  • 3-5 years of product experience, preferably in a data area
  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams and communicating on a technical level
  • Experience designing datasets and defining data governance
  • Understanding of data infrastructure and data streaming technologies
  • Experience designing mixed-methodology research, mapping qualitative to quantitative data, and using synthesis to drive impactful insights
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and collaboration skills
