McGraw Hill is seeking a Data Research Scientist. At McGraw Hill, our mission is to build meaningful enterprise learning solutions that empower students and institutions. Will drive McGraw Hill’s higher education platform strategy by applying AI, data platforms, and actionable insights to design intuitive learning experiences. Combining technical expertise, research, and collaboration, you will ensure our products empower educators, engage students, and deliver measurable educational impact.
This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.
What you will be doing:
- Plan, execute, and report on diverse data-driven projects that influence the future of education.
- Conduct research, analysis, modeling, and experiments, presenting actionable insights to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and support compelling learning experiences.
- Develop tailored solutions to business challenges using advanced data science and analytical techniques.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapting plans and priorities as business needs evolve.
- Provide regular progress updates to managers and team members to maintain alignment and transparency.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, research, product management, or related fields, with strong knowledge of higher education markets and platform delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in data science, business, statistics, or a related discipline strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to shifting priorities, and excel in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting complex ideas to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsive, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across diverse teams and functions.
- Data-driven mindset with expertise in defining KPIs, analyzing performance metrics, and leveraging insights for business decisions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaborative platforms (Jira, Confluence, Asana); familiarity with Tableau, Alteryx, Google Analytics, or Salesforce reporting a plus.

The pay range for this position is between $130,000-$135,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Additionally, a full range of medical and/or other benefits may be provided, depending on the position offered.
