Risepoint is seeking a motivated Data Science Co-Op to join our Marketing Analytics team. This six-month position is ideal for a university student eager to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting.
As a co-op, you will gain hands-on experience with analytics tools and techniques that power Risepoint’s partner performance and marketing intelligence. You will contribute to projects that blend data analysis, reporting, and automation—with a strong focus on Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Databricks.
The role offers an opportunity to develop technical skills while learning how analytics drives strategy at a fast-moving company.
Key Responsibilities
- Use Excel to structure, clean, and analyze data in support of recurring reports and ad-hoc business questions.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve and organize data for dashboards and performance monitoring.
- Build and support Power BI dashboards that translate data into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders.
- Assist with projects in Databricks, learning how to manage and process data at scale.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and communicate findings in a clear, concise way.
- Work with Analytics, Data Science, and Strategy teams to support automation and improve reporting efficiency.
- Apply structured thinking to ambiguous problems, contributing to data-driven decision-making.
What to Expect
- Duration: January 2026 – June 2026
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday)
- Exposure: Direct collaboration with team leads, the Sr. Manager of BI, and cross-functional partners
- Development: Opportunities to learn new tools, gain hands-on project experience, and contribute to meaningful business outcomes
Required Skills
- Excel: Strong functional knowledge (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional logic, etc.)
- SQL: Ability to write basic–intermediate queries (joins, filters, grouping, CTEs)
- Power BI: Exposure to dashboards and reports (basic DAX and modeling is a plus)
- Databricks (or similar platforms): Familiarity with using or learning to use distributed data tools
- Strong analytical mindset, with attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Clear communication skills and comfort working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages for automation
- Exposure to large datasets or cloud-based data tools
- Interest in AI-powered tools (e.g., copilots, automated reporting)
