| Job Description Summary: | Writing is a central component of GW’s General Education Curriculum, which requires that all undergraduates complete 4.0 credit hours of a First Year Writing seminar and at least 6.0 credit hours across Writing in the Disciplines (WID) courses. The University Writing Program interacts with nearly 2,500 first year students. In addition, the program organizes hundreds of writing courses, events and workshops, compiling writing guidance for the campus community and managing the GW Writing Center. The Department Operations Coordinator reports to the University Writing Program Administrative Supervisor. The person in this position primarily supports the Writing in the Disciplines (WID) division and the First Year Writing Program. The Operations Coordinator is also the front office representative, serving as first contact for all students, faculty, staff, parents, high-level administrators, and external constituents who visit or contact the UWP. The Operations Coordinator fields questions from college advisors about UWP requirements. Position main duties include:

| Minimum Qualifications: | Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 3 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
