Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position. | At least 1 – 3 years’ experience with data analysis, reporting or dashboard development, data collection/data entry, or database management. Demonstrated attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy, data quality, and integrity. Ability to extract, clean, transform, and analyze large datasets using basic database querying, SQL, or similar data analysis tools. Strong skills in Excel with the ability to create pivot tables, use complex formulas, and create charts and graphs. Experience in creating actionable reports or dashboards, translating complex data into insights for decision support using data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau. Demonstrated ability to work from a solution driven perspective; able to recognize areas of improvement and develop detailed, efficient solutions with a plan for implementation.
Preferred Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, sociology, statistics, computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field. Understanding of key fundraising metrics and donor trend analysis (donor retention, pipeline analysis, trend analysis) Familiarity with advancement services, donor databases, and database maintenance and CRM integration tools (e.g. Raiser’s Edge, ResearchPoint, Import O’matic) Proficiency with PowerBI, Tableau, and/or PowerAutomate. Proficiency with querying in SQL Management Studio.
Job Description | The Development Data Specialist (DDS) will assist with data quality analysis, metric support, portfolio analysis, data imports and processing, and other data-related tasks. The DDS will ensure that our data is complete, clean, and validated, allowing both the Director of Data Analytics and the Director of Prospect Development to rely on it for in-depth analysis, strategy development, and external reporting. Additionally, the DDS will use data analysis techniques to identify patterns and opportunities within donor data, providing actionable insights that support fundraising efforts and increase revenue generation.
Job Duties |
Data Quality Analysis: Ensure that data in RE related to frontline fundraising is accurate, reliable, and usable for analysis. Maintain portfolio and action records. Identify discrepancies, anomalies, and inconsistencies in data sets. Perform data validation and verification checks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
Fundraiser Metrics Reporting Support:Assist with tracking and reporting fundraising metrics to support decision-making.
Portfolio Data Analysis:Analyze donor data to identify key trends and opportunities.
Assist in Managing Development Technology Tools:Support the management of systems and tools used in development and fundraising efforts including portfolio maintenance of the virtual fundraiser data and portfolio.
Mass Data Imports:Oversee the import of various data types, including: Employment data Survey data Research related attributes Other relevant information
Qualitative Data Analysis Support:Assist with qualitative data analysis to complement quantitative insights.
Other Duties as Assigned:Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the evolving needs of UA.
