Grand Canyon University! One of Arizona's leading institutions of higher learning. Located in the Valley of the Sun in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, GCU is a regionally accredited, private, nondenominational Christian University.

Are you a skilled individual who thrives in a dynamic team atmosphere and takes pleasure in building relationships? GCU is presently searching for a Development Officer who can identify, cultivate, and secure donations and sponsorship prospects for GCU, all while maintaining favorable connections both within and outside the organization.

What you will do: 
  • Work alongside the GCU Advancement team to develop and close strategic gift and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Regularly review specific university assets that can be leveraged to maximize gift and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Maintain an active portfolio of prospects & supporters within the GCU database. Engage in a minimum of 252 quality interactions annually with these prospects.
  • Collaborate internally within GCU to develop partnerships for gift activation.
  • Participates in other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Flexible hours to include some weekends and evenings.
  • Strategic and creative thinking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to be a flexible and reliable team player.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
