Digital Content Librarian - North America Schools

This position will require you to be in the Greater Cleveland, OH area
We are presently in a hybrid schedule, 2 days on campus and 3 days WFH
The Digital Content Librarian is responsible for selecting and curating content to help partners build and showcase their digital collection, to increase sales and usage. Collaborating with Account Executives and/or Account Managers, or with others on the Collection Development Team, DCLs support our partners and their collection development efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Account Managers, Account Executives, Product Support Specialists, and Sales Specialists to support the collection development needs of school partners.
- On an ongoing basis and aligned with applicable content sales targets and promotions, create suggested lists in OverDrive Marketplace to maximize ordering and curation potential by partners.
- Collaborate with Content Metadata Services to address content requests and remedy content issues.
- Support the digital collection needs of accounts in an assigned territory or territories, in collaboration with the applicable Account Manager(s).
- Curate collections to feature on digital library websites.
- Interface directly with partners to assist with content selection and purchasing, discussing use of budget, offering recommendations for spending, and creating custom carts.
- Collaborate with Account Executive and/or Account Manager to create opening collection recommendations for new partners during the onboarding process.
- Analyze usage patterns, local demographics, publisher specials, and other factors for the purpose of suggesting high value content purchases.
- Contribute to OverDrive blogs.
- Attend internal meetings about updates to products and services.
- Keep up to date with publishing industry news and trends by attending publisher presentations and reading professional publications.
- Maintain relevant partner data in Salesforce and other OverDrive databases.
- Special Collection Development Team projects as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent experience required. Master’s degree in library science or related field preferred.
- 1 - 3 years of related experience (marketing, merchandising, communications, sales, retail, teacher, librarian, etc.) in retail (book industry), publishing or library industry, or teaching or library work (K - 12).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated initiative and creativity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of books and/or the library or publishing industry.
- Detail oriented with strong technical aptitude.
- Demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks and objectives, meet timelines, and provide updates.
- Strong problem solving, consulting, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
